Q. HOW DOES PERSO-SOLOEPIL DESTROY THE ROOT OF THE HAIR?

A. PERSO-SOLOEPIL, in conjunction with SOLOEPIL GEL, using iontophoresis, atrophies the root of the hair. The hair turns into vellus and then stops growing. After the hair stops growing, regular maintenance is required on a weekly, while the hair cycle goes through the telogen phase (18 months), to prevent the hair from growing back.

Q. HOW LONG DOES A BOTTLE OF SOLOEPIL GEL LAST?

A. Depending on the areas treated, a bottle of SOLOEPIL GEL lasts between two weeks and 3 months. The active ingredient of SOLOEPIL GEL is comprised of plant extracts. After opening, the bottle must be used within 3 months otherwise it loses its effectiveness.

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNTIL THE HAIR COMPLETELY STOPS GROWING?

A. Hair in the anagen (growth) and catagen (regression) phases will completely stop growing after 20 weeks. Several months are necessary to stop beard growth.

Q. ONCE I GET THE DESIRED RESULT, IF I COMPLETELY STOP USING THE TREATMENT, WILL MY HAIR GROW BACK?

A. The PERSO-SOLOEPIL device can bring the SOLOEPIL GEL to the root of the hair only when it is in the growing or regression phases.
In fact, hair grows in 3 phases. The anagen phase (growth phase), the catagen phase (regression phase: lasting about 3 months) and the telogen phase (resting phase: lasting about 18 months). In the telogen phase, the root of the hairs cannot be reached by the current. It is only when the hair in the telogen phase enters the anagen phase that they will be inhibited. This is why daily treatment is strongly recommended.

If after 20 weeks you decide to completely stop treatment the hair that is at that point in the telogen phase will grow back after 10 to 15 weeks, but as vellus.

Q. CAN I TREAT ALL AREAS OF THE BODY?

A. ALMOST ALL, apart from the mucous membranes (nostrils, ears, vaginal & anal areas). The pubis can be treated.

Q. I am currently undergoing laser treatment. Can I still use PERSO-SOLOEPIL?

A. YES. There is no contra-indication for this or for the flash lamp.

Q. I am pregnant. Can I still epilate using PERSO-SOLOEPIL with SOLOEPIL GEL?

A. YES. There is no contra-indication for pregnant women.
